The University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna invites applications for a part-time Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Domestication Lab, Konrad Lorenz Institute of Ethology, within the Department of Interdisciplinary Life Sciences. The project compares wolves and dogs to understand domestication, with work across the Core Facility Wolf Science Center, Clever Dog Lab, and field stations.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience in animal behaviour and cognition and in data analysis techniques, demonstrated through publications.
• Excellent skills in English (C1).
• Excellent skills in German (C1).
• Completed degree in Biology or another natural science, as well as a completed doctorate/PhD.

Aufgaben

• Participation in and independent implementation of research projects in the fields of animal behaviour and cognition.
• Participation in and independent implementation of research projects, including work with animals at the Core Facility Wolf Science Center.
• Acquisition of third-party funding.
• Independent preparation and delivery of courses in the English-language Master's programme in IMHAI, as assigned by the University.
• Supervision of students, including office hours and examinations, and supervision of doctoral candidates.
