The University of Vienna invites applications for a PhD student position in the Organic Synthesis Group, 4-year temporary employment. Start date is 01.10.2026 with 30 hours per week. The role includes research, teaching and administration within a vibrant international team in the Faculty of Chemistry.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or Diploma in Chemistry with synthesis experience.
• Ability to work independently under inert atmosphere.
• Experience with amine chemistry and related reactions.
• Strong academic writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Study stereoselective synthesis and development of new reactions.
• Finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
• Work on your dissertation and its completion.
• Teach within the scope of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Perform administrative tasks and academic writing; communicate in English.
