ABB in Österreich sucht einen OT-Project Engineer zur Planung, Implementierung und Weiterentwicklung unserer OT-Infrastruktur. Sie unterstützen Cybersecurity und liefern Beiträge zu komplexen Projekten.

• Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium (HTL oder FH).
• 3–5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in IT, idealerweise OT-Umgebung.
• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse, gute Englischkenntnisse; teamorientiert und kommunikationsstark.

Aufgaben

• Mitwirkung an OT-Sicherheitsprojekten, Teilnahme an OT Security Jour Fixes & HAZOPs.
• Planung, Konfiguration und Wartung des OT-Netzwerks inkl. Firewall/Standards.
• Installation und Pflege von Server-/Systemumgebungen (VMware, Microsoft) inkl. DMZ.
• Unterstützung des OT-Systemlandschaftsbetriebs durch SIEM-Lösungen (Graylog).

Your Role: Own the Challenge

As an OT Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, implementation, and continuous development of our Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will ensure secure, future-oriented network and system solutions while making a significant contribution to cybersecurity and the successful delivery of complex projects.

• Contribute to OT cybersecurity projects and participate in OT Security Jour Fixes and HAZOP studies. In this role, you will support the continuous enhancement of our security standards and contribute your expertise to interdisciplinary projects.
• Plan, configure, and maintain the OT network infrastructure, including creating logical network diagrams, developing standards for switch and firewall configurations, conducting firewall reviews, and providing troubleshooting and technical support within projects.
• Install, configure, and maintain server and system environments (VMware, Microsoft), manage the DMZ infrastructure, update servers, and centralized update solutions (WSUS, EPO). You will also be responsible for installing and updating ABB software.
• Support the ongoing development and operation of the OT system landscape through the use of SIEM solutions (e.g., Graylog), perform occasional configuration adjustments within the ABB control system, and assist in the continuous optimization of the cybersecurity environment.

• You have completed a technical education (HTL or FH).
• 3–5 years of professional experience and solid technical expertise in IT, ideally within an OT environment.
• A collaborative, reliable, and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A self-driven and proactive working style with a hands‑on mentality, enabling you to independently execute tasks.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.
• Willingness to travel within Lower Austria and Styria.

To comply with legal requirements, we refer to the minimum annual salary stipulated by the Austrian Collective Agreement for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, which amounts to €50,000 gross per year based on a 38.5 hour working week. There is a clear willingness to offer a higher salary depending on qualifications and experience.
