UK Mission to the United Nations in Vienna (UKMis) is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join its Nuclear Team in Vienna. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract to 9 April 2027 with an expected start on 11 January 2027.

The role provides administrative, analytical and policy support for UK engagement on international nuclear security at the IAEA and other multilateral fora. The gross salary is 1,800 EUR per full month, with applications closing on 28 September.

The UK Mission to the United Nations in Vienna (UKMis) is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join its Nuclear Team. This is a unique opportunity to support the United Kingdom's engagement on international nuclear security, safeguards, safety and non-proliferation issues at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other multilateral fora.

Main purpose of the role:

As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will provide administrative, analytical and policy support during a particularly active period of international engagement.

Working alongside experienced diplomats, policy experts and senior government officials, you will play an important role in preparations for major international meetings, including the IAEA Board of Governors and the Review Conference of the Amendment to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (A/CPPNM). You will gain first-hand experience of international negotiations and contribute to UK efforts to strengthen the global nuclear security architecture.

This is a full‑time (35 hours per week) fixed‑term contract until 9th April 2027. The expected start date is 11th January 2027.

The gross salary is 1,800 EUR per full month.
