Jobtailor is seeking an interim manager to support the CISO in implementing remediation measures for Project One Security. The role focuses on driving XDR/EDR rollout, asset management as the foundation for endpoint security, and MFA with legacy constraints.

The candidate will lead cross-functional coordination, identify dependencies, and oversee continuous testing initiatives while tracking progress and blockers across the project roadmap.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in information security within complex IT, SaaS, or infrastructure environments (≈1,000 server systems).
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, XDR, EDR/MDR, asset management or backup standards.
• Understanding of SSO, phishing-resistant MFA and constraints imposed by legacy environments.
• Implementation experience in remediation programs — not just governance or advisory roles.
• Ability to quickly identify technical dependencies and resolve them in prioritized order.
• Strong communication, prioritization and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Excellent German and English skills; certifications helpful but not required.

The assignment is to support the existing CISO as operational reinforcement to implement defined remediation measures.

• Focus areas include XDR/EDR rollout, asset management, SSO/MFA, backup strategy, and continuous penetration testing.
• Drive the XDR rollout as the top priority, based on reliable asset management.
• Structure asset management as the foundation for endpoint management, EDR/MDR and backups.
• Support SSO and phishing-resistant MFA, taking existing legacy environments into account.
• Prepare EDR standardization together with an MDR service and clarify operational dependencies.
• Initiate LLM-based continuous penetration testing and support its rollout.
• Standardize the backup strategy and make required prerequisites transparent.
• Track roadmap, blockers, resource needs and implementation progress in a structured way.
