Qualifikationen

• Verify designs of new modules/products/changes and analyze design for manufacturing.
• Combine BOM strategy with manufacturing line.
• Review design solutions in terms of safety, ergonomics, tooling, Form-Fit-Function.
• Create work instructions and production process steps.
• Implement cost-efficient methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.
• Support transfer of new products into high-volume manufacturing.
• Work closely with suppliers and remote factories; travel as needed.
• Implement new ideas and redefine processes to reduce costs and assembly time.

The impact you’ll make

Join Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You'll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. Your expertise optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.

What you’ll do

• Verify designs of new modules/products/changes and analyze design for manufacturing.
• Combine BOM strategy with manufacturing line
• Review design solutions in terms of safety, ergonomics, tooling, Form-Fit-Function
• Create Work Instructions and production process steps
• Implement cost-efficient methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.
• Implement non standard customer requests onto products and transfer to manufacturing
• Support to transfer new products into high volume manufacturing.
• Work closely with suppliers and remote factories (including traveling)
• Implement new ideas and defining new ways of processes to reduce costs and assembly time
• Continuous Improvement for products, process and manufacturing

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent experience (Technical education/HTL Electrical/Mechatronic)
• Skilled troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies
• Experience on lean manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing methodologies preferred
• Hands on experience with CAD, NX or similar tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

MS office & SAP skills preferred

Self managed and proactive working style

• Ability to travel to suppliers or other Lam locations

Employment in Austria

This position is subject to theAustrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
