Hunter Delivery Manager

Overview: Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Project Delivery Manager to join our Defence Programmes Group (DPG), based in Kings Park – Sydney. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with key stakeholders from the Australian Defence Industry, European supply partners and the internal Penske Team to manage the successful delivery of the Hunter Class Frigate Project.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing planning, execution, and completion of deliverables.
  • Managing contract requirements, ensuring delivery of supplies and services in line with head and sub‑contract obligations.
  • Coordinating project planning, resources, and service delivery to meet Defence and customer requirements.
  • Aligning and deconflicting internal pressures.
  • Building and managing relationships with OEMs, Prime and Customer stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from acquisition to through‑life support.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project and financial performance, ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

About you:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Project or a closely aligned field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong project and change management skills; formal certification highly regarded.
  • Proven experience delivering across the full project life cycle.
  • Familiarity with ADF procurement processes and responding to tenders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, with understanding of Defence culture in Maritime Systems.
  • Able to achieve and maintain Defence Department Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required); dual citizenship may impact suitability due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
