Octapharma Pharmazeutika Produktionsges.m.b.H. in Vienna seeks a Group Senior Expert to lead Supply Chain Excellence for procurement. You will own end-to-end procurement processes, define global standards, and drive system governance across sites.

The role focuses on SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and Business Network, with a roadmap to harmonise processes, automate workflows, and support global rollouts. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in business, engineering, information systems, supply chain, or related field.
• Several years in procurement or process management, including proven SAP projects and/or procurement digitalisation initiatives.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and GxP environment is a plus.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Procurement, IT, Business).
• Strong communication and coordination skills with hands-on and strategic thinking.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Knowledge of design thinking, innovation methodologies, and change management expertise is an advantage.

• Define and maintain global standards, templates, and governance across sites.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GxP).
• Act as functional owner for procurement systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Business Network).
• Drive the procurement digitalisation roadmap, including SAP Ariba rollout and integration.
• Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements.
• Collect and prioritise business requirements from global stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT/SAP teams.
• Manage demand intake and escalation processes (e.g., Cherwell).
• Serve as central interface between Procurement, Business, and IT; collaborate across regions.
• Lead or support cross-functional projects; support global rollouts, testing, deployment.
• Define procurement KPIs and ensure data consistency and transparency.
• Develop training concepts and materials for procurement processes and systems.

We are looking for a Group Senior Expert Supply Chain Excellence with a focus on Procurement to act as the global process and system owner across Octapharma. The role focuses on designing, standardising, and continuously improving procurement processes and systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Business Network), ensuring efficient, scalable, and compliant operations across all sites.

Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Governance

• Own and continuously improve global end‑to‑end procurement processes (e.g., Purchase‑to‑Pay, sourcing support processes)
• Define and maintain global standards, templates, and governance frameworks across all sites
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GxP)

Systems & Digitalisation

• Act as functional owner for procurement systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Business Network)
• Drive the procurement digitalisation roadmap, including SAP Ariba implementation and rollout, Business Network integration, process harmonisation, optimisation, automation, and webshop and catalog solutions
• Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements

Requirements & Demand Management

• Collect, structure, and prioritise business requirements from global stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT/SAP teams
• Manage demand intake and escalation processes (e.g., ticketing systems such as Cherwell)

Stakeholder & Interface Management

• Act as the central interface between Procurement, Business, and IT (including SC Applications)
• Collaborate with Procurement teams, Category Management, Key Users, and other stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Production)
• Ensure alignment and clear communication across functions and regions

Projects & Implementation

• Lead or support cross‑functional projects related to procurement systems and processes
• Ensure proper implementation of process and system requirements
• Support global rollouts, including testing, deployment, and hypercare phases

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Define and manage procurement KPIs and reporting structures
• Ensure data consistency and transparency across systems and regions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort

Training & Enablement

• Develop training concepts and materials for procurement processes and systems
• Support and enable Key Users across sites

Your expertise and ideal skill set

• University degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Several years in procurement or process management, including proven SAP projects and/or procurement digitalisation initiatives
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and GxP environment is a plus
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams (Procurement, IT, Business)
