The Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Diploma/Master's) for a 20-hour/week, temporary position in the Socio-Ecological Transformation Lab.

The role includes independent research, course design and delivery, and potential doctoral work within a dynamic campus research environment. Strong German/English skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree required in Political Economy, Socioeconomics, Sociology, Economics, or related field.
• Initial research experience, evidenced by publications preferred.
• Willingness to engage in inter- and transdisciplinary research collaborations.
• Qualitative or quantitative methodological competence (mixed methods preferred).
• Active engagement in scientific communities.

Aufgaben

• Conduct independent research within the interdisciplinary Lab and in cooperation with the Institute for Comprehensive Analysis of the Economy at JKU.
• Focus on socio-ecological transformation dimensions (e.g., socioeconomic, ecological, global inequality).
• Contribute to organizational development and knowledge transfer of the Lab.
• Design, prepare, and conduct courses.
• Help initiate third-party funded projects and foster strategic partnerships.
• Participate in academic self-administration.
• Opportunity to work towards a doctoral dissertation.

Job Duties:

Your Qualifications:

• Excellent or very good Master's degree in Political Economy, Socioeconomics, Sociology, Economics, or a related field
• Initial research experience (preferably evidenced by completed publication projects)
• Willingness to engage in inter- and transdisciplinary research collaborations
• Qualitative or quantitative methodological competence in the areas mentioned above (mixed methods preferred)
• Active engagement in scientific communities
• Very good German and English language skills (level B2+)

• On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
