Zusammenfassung

The OSCE Secretariat in Vienna invites applications for a seconded (S) position at the P3 level within the Gender Issues Programme, supporting the Secretary General's mandate and gender mainstreaming across the organization.

The selected candidate will provide programmatic expertise on gender in security, draft briefings and proposals, and assist in coordinating gender-related activities across departments and field operations.

Qualifikationen

  • A first-level university degree in gender studies, international relations, political sciences or other relevant field.
  • Minimum seven years (or five with a second-level degree) of professional experience in gender issues, human rights, peace and security.
  • Experience in programme management in bi- or multi-lateral development organizations, including field operations.
  • Knowledge of international texts and conventions related to gender equality, especially the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
  • Proven ability to analyse and evaluate gender equality issues and design strategies.
  • Professional fluency in English with excellent communication skills; knowledge of other OSCE region languages (Russian) is an asset.

Aufgaben

  • Provide programmatic expertise in the politico-military dimension of security and gender integration.
  • Provide knowledge to OSCE Secretariat, Institutions and field operations on gender mainstreaming.
  • Draft briefings, proposals and reports, including inputs to the OSCE Annual Progress Report.
  • Draft talking points for OSCE senior management and represent the Senior Adviser on Gender Issues.
  • Advise on designing projects promoting gender perspectives in security and monitor implementation.
