Zusammenfassung

GFMD Women in Media Working Group is seeking a Press and Information Officer for the European Union Delegation in Switzerland. The role covers media relations, digital communications and public diplomacy under the Head of the Political, Press and Information Section.

Fixed-term for two years with possible renewal and a 3-month probation. The successful candidate will manage press releases, social media content, and media inquiries; build relations with journalists; develop communication

Qualifikationen

• University degree in a field relevant to the position.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in media, online publishing, public relations, communication, events or similar; post-qualification experience.
• Right to residence and work in Switzerland (where applicable).

Aufgaben

• Maintain and develop relationships with journalists, media organizations and government press agencies.
• Prepare and disseminate press materials, interviews and speeches for media.
• Lead the Delegation’s digital and social media strategy and content.
• Coordinate with EU HQ services and strategic communications task forces for consistent messaging.
• Organize public diplomacy events and high-level visits; manage media requests and responses.
