Seeking a Deputy Head of University Campus (Year 9)

As Deputy Head of University Campus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a connected, high-performing learning community that nurtures both academic growth and student wellbeing. This is an opportunity to lead with influence, model Ivanhoe Grammar School’s values, and ensure every student at our University Campus flourishes as a young person of character and purpose.

This is a five-year academic leadership position (1.0 FTE) with an ongoing teaching appointment. The successful candidate will commence Term 1 2026 however a later start can be negotiable.

What you will do

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the University Campus, ensuring excellence in learning, wellbeing and school culture. Working closely with the Head of University Campus, you will lead the design, implementation and ongoing evolution of programs that foster student success, wellbeing and belonging.

  • Lead academic wellbeing, learning and culture across the University Campus.
  • Oversee and support wellbeing leaders to address student needs effectively.
  • Implement an evidence-informed wellbeing program promoting engagement, voice and positive behaviour.
  • Lead student transition, orientation and leadership programs fostering belonging and character.
  • Partner with senior staff to uphold professional conduct and represent the Campus externally.
