Jobbeschreibung

This senior leadership role provides oversight and strategic direction to both UG and OP operations, ensuring productivity, safety and compliance are maintained in alignment with the company growth objectives, driving the alignment between operational performance, business objectives and corporate strategy.

The Primary purpose is to lead the team to ensure safety and optimum mine production, through effective leadership and overall performance with respect to the prevention of harm, tonnage, grade, production, cost management, budgetary requirements and reporting.

Functional responsibility

UG Mining, Facilities (Camp & Administration), Safety, Processing, Technical Services (Geology and Survey), Maintenance, Warehouse & Logistics, Projects (solar farm, camp extension, haulage roads and facilities)

The Person

To suit a passionate, strategic and safety‑driven individual with a depth of experience in operational mining to join the leadership team and play a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence across the mining operations.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate a track record of success in the effective management of mining operations (UG gold) and be a proven General Manager Operations or Operations Manager or a Mining Manager who is ready to “step up”.

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related mining industry technical discipline.

A First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (preferred).
