Vienna Insurance Group in Vienna is seeking a Data Engineer (all genders) with a focus on configuration and reporting. The role is full-time, hybrid, and targets cross-functional data solutions for Group Finance & Regulatory Reporting.

You will customize databases, refine reports, and ensure data accuracy while expanding analytics tools (R, Python, VBA). Strong English is required; German is a plus. The salary is discussed in interview and aligns with the collective agreement.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in data science, economics, finance, mathematics or related field.
• Experience with data models and data migration.
• Analytical tools like Excel, R, Power BI.
• Experience with data warehouse solutions (SAP, Oracle, MS SQL) is a plus.
• Some programming experience (VBA, Python) is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Customize and maintain our established database solutions (including SAP BW and SQL) in close cooperation with internal IT teams.
• Develop and refine our reporting solutions to meet changing business needs.
• Manage and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability.
• Design and implement new methods and tools to streamline existing and future financial processes.
• Prepare detailed dashboards, reports, data views and analyses for various reporting purposes.
• Future-proof our analytical toolbox (including R, Python and VBA) by proactively identifying improvement opportunities and anticipating business needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments within VIG (Group) to align processes and ensure optimal data utility.
