Zusammenfassung

Swissquote in Austria invites a Compliance Officer to join the Compliance Support and Sanctions service. You will handle sanctions due diligence on clients, review phases, and advise on acceptance or escalation of client relationships.

You will contribute to risk monitoring, reporting, policy drafting, and training. Proficiency in French and English, and strong PowerPoint skills are essential; 3–5+ years in financial services.

Job Description

Are you eager to take up a new challenge? Join the Compliance Department as a Compliance Officer in the Compliance Support and Sanctions service. You will have multiple tasks and on top of the sanction topics, you will be exposed to a wide range of Compliance activities on the financial security aspect. Your role will include:

• Sanctions:
  • Perform sanctions due diligence on clients and related parties during the onboarding phases as well as periodic or ad hoc review phases.
  • Perform analysis on true sanctions hits escalated by the Compliance Monitoring as part of the sanction screening done on the client base and on the transactional activity of our clients.
  • Assess potential exposure to sectoral sanctions, export controls, dual-use goods and sanctioned industries
  • Provide recommendations regarding acceptance, rejection or escalation of client relationship
  • Support and advise other compliance officers on sanction related topics
  • Regulatory monitoring on sanction news impacting the bank and analysis of the impact on our client base, and analyse the impact of new sanctions packages.
  • Draft and maintain sanctions policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the calibration and optimization of sanctions screening systems.
• Reporting:
  • Contribute to the bank’s monitoring of risk tolerance, risk analysis and key risk indicators.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests: special requests, audits, regulatory reviews etc.
• Others:
  • Provide targeted training on sanctions
  • Drafting of internal memos and presentations
  • Support and advice to management

Background

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Laws or Economics with appetite for data crunching and analysis.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in the financial industry.
