Lonza in Visp, Switzerland seeks an experienced Bioprocess Engineer to join our Mammalian Business Division in Upstream or Downstream Processing. You will help drive manufacturing activities for therapeutic protein production in a GMP environment.

You will lead defined USP/DSP areas and collaborate across teams to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency. A Master’s in biotechnology or related field is preferred, with relevant biomanufacturing experience.

Qualifikationen

• Master's Degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related Life Science subject, or Bachelor's with pharma production experience.
• Knowledge of USP or DSP units (e.g., bioreactors, chromatography).
• A couple of years' biomanufacturing experience and GMP familiarity.
• Excellent English communication; German advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Ensure operational activities for clinical and commercial manufacturing meet safety and quality standards.
• Serve as the functional lead for preparation, manufacturing execution, cleaning and changeover in the assigned area.
• Lead defined USP areas (seed train, main culture, harvest) for therapeutic protein production.
• Lead DSP areas (gain, polishing, filling) for purification of therapeutic proteins.
