Job Description & Qualification

The Institute for Accounting and Auditing at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Financial Accounting, starting July 1, 2027, or soon thereafter.

We seek candidates conducting high-quality research in financial accounting using quantitative methods, with strong potential to publish in leading international accounting journals. Applicants should have completed a PhD or expect to complete their PhD during the current academic year. Candidates should demonstrate active engagement with the international academic community and have the ability to teach in English.

Candidates must have completed their PhD at a university other than WU or have at least two years of postdoctoral experience at another university. International academic experience is an advantage.
