Zusammenfassung

Dynatrace is seeking an experienced technical writer to architect knowledge across complex product areas and to curate AI-generated content for accuracy and consistency. You will design prompts, templates, and skills to enable an AI-first authoring workflow and collaborate with SMEs, PMs, and AI teams to scope content.

You will mentor others and work in a docs-as-code environment using Markdown and Git. You will help ensure content is modular, machine-readable, and semantically structured,

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, information development, or a closely related content-engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience operating an AI-first authoring workflow: designing prompts, building reusable templates and skills, instructing agents, curating AI-generated drafts for accuracy and consistency.
• Comfort being an architect, quality gate, and final approver rather than the sole author of every piece of content.
• Experience treating documentation as structured data: modular, semantically structured units optimized for both human readability and AI retrievability. Familiarity with frontmatter, metadata, chunking, and retrieval signals.
• Experience contributing to information architecture within a product domain: content models, taxonomy, and lifecycle considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently scope a knowledge project across complex, cross-domain product areas: interviewing SMEs, defining the content's scope, and designing its structure without being handed a brief.
• Strong editorial judgment when reviewing AI-generated drafts and peer work — catching nuance, structural integrity, and accuracy before content is served.
• Excellent written English, with the ability to produce clear, precise, and conversational writing that works for both human readers and AI consumption.
• Genuine curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, especially as AI-first authoring evolves in real time.
• The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across an organization — from engineers to executives — including Development, Product Management, and AI teams.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Proficiency with Markdown, Git, Jira, and the command line.

• Architect knowledge across complex, cross-domain product areas by defining content models, taxonomy, and lifecycle so the same source can serve human readers and AI consumers (copilots, search, support agents, LLMs).
• Curate AI-generated content and review work from other Information Developers for nuance, structural integrity, and accuracy before content is trusted and served.

• Apply Dynatrace's structured content principles, metadata schema, and chunking strategy so every content unit is modular, independently addressable, composable, and machine-readable.
• Partner directly with subject-matter experts, Development, Product Management, and AI teams to scope knowledge work, define what users need to know, and design the content and structure.
• Identify improvements to content models, taxonomy, and AI-pipeline quality, and contribute to evolving authoring standards across the team.
• Use your technical depth and writing craft to navigate complex use cases and produce concise, clear, accurate copy that non-technical users — and AI consumers — can grasp.
• Mentor less-experienced writers and Information Developers, and shape team-wide standards and authoring practices.
• Work in a docs-as-code process using a Markdown-based static site, VSCode, Git, and an evolving stack of agentic tooling (Claude plugins, docs MCP, AI content validators).
• Collaborate within a truly global R&D team with a presence across multiple continents.

Dynatrace Documentation is a critical asset in driving user adoption of our unified observability, security, and AI platform. It guides users through Dynatrace's multi-faceted functionality and helps them extract real value from the platform. At Dynatrace, writers architect knowledge, curate output, and serve as the final accuracy and experience quality gate. They build AI-first documentation: structured, governed information architecture managed by domain and content experts, explicitly optimized for both human readers and AI consumers.

In this role, you will:

• Architect knowledge across complex, cross-domain product areas by defining content models, taxonomy, and lifecycle so the same source can serve human readers and AI consumers (copilots, search, support agents, LLMs).

• Curate AI-generated content and review work from other Information Developers for nuance, structural integrity, and accuracy — the things only human judgment can reliably catch — before content is trusted and served.

• Design prompts, build reusable templates and skills, and instruct agents that draft, validate, and surface gaps in the knowledge base.

• Apply Dynatrace's structured content principles, metadata schema, and chunking strategy so every content unit is modular, independently addressable, composable, and machine-readable. Retrievability is a first-class requirement.

• Partner directly with subject-matter experts, Development, Product Management, and AI teams to scope knowledge work, define what users need to know, and design the content and structure.

• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to list a salary range for this position, which is € 61,000 up to € 76,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week).
