Michael Page International (Switzerland) SA is seeking a senior finance professional for a broad accounting role with strategic exposure in an international hospitality group. You will manage general and cost accounting, prepare statements under Swiss CO and Swiss GAAP FER, and support budgeting and forecasting across a dynamic environment.

The role also covers VAT and tax matters, coordination with auditors and banks, and driving finance transformation and ERP/digitalisation initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of accounting/finance experience in an SME or international group.
• Strong knowledge of general and cost accounting.
• Experience preparing and analysing monthly/annual financial statements under Swiss GAAP FER and the Swiss CO.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Good English; German and/or French are a plus.
• Autonomous, structured, and analytical with high accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and manage stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Provide local management with reliable financial information for operations and strategy.

Job Description

• Manage general and cost accounting activities in accordance with internal procedures, applicable regulations and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and analyse monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and Swiss GAAP FER.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process and support management with financial analysis and performance monitoring.
• Manage Swiss administrative and tax matters, including VAT, corporate taxes and social insurance requirements.
• Coordinate relationships with external auditors, banks and other financial stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain appropriate administrative procedures and key internal controls to ensure the quality and integrity of financial processes.
• Ensure the effective use of finance systems and contribute to process optimisation, automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP and treasury solutions, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Kyriba or comparable systems.
• Act as a key finance contact for Swiss authorities and other external stakeholders on accounting, tax and financial matters.
• Provide local management with reliable financial information and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

• Several years of professional experience in accounting and finance, ideally gained within an SME, international group or similarly complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of general and cost accounting.
• Proven experience preparing and analysing monthly and annual financial statements under Swiss GAAP FER and the Swiss Code of Obligations.
• Very good knowledge of Swiss VAT and general Swiss tax requirements.
• Experience with modern ERP and finance systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Abacus, Sage or similar.
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Very good command of English; German and/or French would be an advantage.
• Autonomous, structured and analytical working style, combined with a high level of accuracy and reliability.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Solution-oriented and pragmatic personality with a strong sense of ownership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
