To manage our global workforce of 12,000 colleagues efficiently, we have partnered with Workday and successfully implemented modules including HCM Core, Core Compensation, Talent Management, Learn, Recruitment, Performance Management, and VNDLY (VMS).

To ensure continuous improvement and robust support for all Damen entities, we have established an international Workday Continuous Improvement team, with members based in the Netherlands, Romania, and Vietnam. We are now seeking an HRIS Analyst for our shared service center in Abu Dhabi to provide “follow the sun” support for Workday, ensuring seamless HR operations worldwide.

The role

The Workday HRIS Analyst is responsible for ensuring the optimal use and continuous improvement of the Workday Human Resource Information System (HRIS) across the organization. This role serves as a key resource for end-users, driving system enhancements, supporting data-driven decision-making, and maintaining data integrity.

Key Accountabilities
User Support and Training
  • Act as the primary contact for Workday-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and managing support requests from end-users.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees, managers, and HR staff to maximize effective use of Workday features and functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and user guides to empower users with self-service resources.
HRIS System Enhancement
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and the implementation of new modules or features within Workday.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose solutions to optimize HRIS functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to translate business requirements into system configurations and enhancements.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Design, develop, and customize reports and dashboards in Workday to support HR and business leaders in data-driven decision-making.
  • Extract and analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements and business strategies.
  • Deliver scheduled and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate HR metrics and analytics.
Data Management
  • Conduct data quality assessments to identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies within the HRIS system.
  • Implement data governance practices to uphold data standards and comply with data privacy regulations.
  • Work closely with HR and IT teams to manage data migration and ensure seamless data integration during system upgrades or changes.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor / master level in Computer Science / Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as IT support analyst in Workday HCM
  • Strong knowledge and experience in data analysis, manipulation, reporting and formatting
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Fluent in English
