Job summary

Miral Experiences in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Manager – Wildlife Rescue Centre to lead daily operations of the Wildlife Rescue Centre, ensuring safe, professional wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and release programs.

You will supervise staff, enforce safety, biosecurity, and welfare standards, coordinate emergency responses, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and a minimum 7 years in zoological care with 3+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum 7 years in zoological, wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, or conservation.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or management position.
• Experience managing animal care teams and working with potentially dangerous or exotic wildlife.
• Demonstrated experience implementing safe zoological operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Wildlife Rescue Centre and ensure readiness of all facilities.
• Lead staff, provide onboarding and competency training, and monitor performance.
• Oversee wildlife intake, rescue responses, transfers, releases, and rehabilitation activities.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety, biosecurity, and documentation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and coordinate incident reviews.
• Manage rescue operations, emergency responses, and collaboration with veterinary teams.
• Maintain records, inventory, and regulatory documentation.
• Engage with government agencies, conservation partners, and stakeholders.
