Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in welding preferred.
Experience as a welder in oil & gas or large-scale projects is advantageous.
Welding certifications such as AWS/ASME are preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform welding on metal components and structures using MIG, TIG, and Stick methods per specs and blueprints.
Inspect welds for quality, strength, and conformance to project requirements.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding needs and procedures.
Prepare materials and surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components.
Operate and maintain welding equipment and PPE; follow safety procedures.
Ensure welds meet high standards and are free from defects; perform routine checks.
Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
