Qualifications

• Experience applying ML methods to weather forecasting or climate analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks.
• Experience with weather/climate datasets (reanalysis, satellite, observations, forecasts).
• Knowledge of ML and statistical modeling.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate ML methods for weather forecasting and related spatiotemporal problems.
• Build reproducible workflows for data processing, training, and forecast evaluation.
• Conduct experiments, establish baselines, analyze model performance, troubleshoot issues.
• Develop forecasting models and research software for research and operations.
• Collaborate with researchers and national/international partners in weather and climate services.
