Responsibilities

• Leads design and facilitation of departmental strategy workshops to develop medium/long-term strategies and KPIs aligned to corporate goals.
• Defines departmental strategies aligned with Flydubai's long-term strategy and collaborates with department heads for delivery of business effectiveness.
• Drives initiatives to improve On-time Performance, Customer Experience, and survey feedback implementation.
• Acts as project director or steering group member for major initiatives, ensuring structured reviews and successful implementation.
• Directs and manages process improvement projects to raise service levels, revenues, or reduce costs with change management.
• Develops corporate KPI framework for all business units, including ROI assessment for investments.
• Plans and implements action plans around company-wide strategic initiatives and cross-business collaboration.
• Leads Organization Design with HR to ensure fitting structures with measurable metrics over 2-4 years.
• Encourages innovative thinking with IT, Generative AI, IoT, Chatbot, and RPA, driving proofs of concept and cross-business collaboration.
• Reviews manpower submissions with HR, ensuring automation first and justified additions by KPI trends.
• Leads dashboards development (OTP, Customer Experience Metrics) for critical processes and cross-functional reporting.
• Contributes to unit cost trend analysis with finance and benchmarks for best-in-class costs.
• Develops dashboards and BI reports to deliver KPI insights for managers and supports CAPEX investment reviews.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE To improve the overall business performance and effectiveness of all flydubai entities (current & future) by facilitating the development and monitoring of flydubai’s long term strategy and initiating, directing, and managing projects and programs focused on process innovation and organisational performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, and facilitation of departmental strategy planning workshops for all flydubai business units, aimed at developing medium to long term strategies, goals and KPI’s, aligned to the corporate goals and supported by relevant industry research to enable businesses taking a long-term view and taking in consideration global perspectives.
• Defines departmental strategies in alignment with the long-term strategy for flydubai and have shared accountability with departmental heads for business effectiveness deliverables.
• Provides solutions to specific management challenges that they foresee, through both a tactical and strategic nature i.e., OTP (On-time performance), CE (Customer Experience) and external/internal survey feedback implementation and generally be targeted at major process or organisational change.
• Leads and directs initiatives or programmes to ensure that all investments target the aims and objectives of the business, by acting as project director and/or being on the steering group of significant initiatives, projects or programmes and applying a systematic structure and approach to reviews, proposals & implementation.
• Directs and manages process improvement projects across flydubai business units to raise service levels, improve revenues, or better manage costs, ensuring all improvements deliver tangible benefits and include relevant process and system changes and effective change management.
• Develops corporate KPI framework for all business units of flydubai which will serve as a guide for all resource management, resource utilisation and business case justification including benefits assessment and ROI (return on investment) for all investments.
• Drives discussions and engages with key stakeholders to plan and implement action plans around companywide strategic initiatives which are medium-long term in nature (e.g. Customer Council meetings).
• Leads the Organization Design (OD) effort in collaboration with HR to ensure organization structures are fit for purpose for 2-4 years, ensuring all OD effort is supported with business and people metrics which can be tracked and measured to assess success or otherwise of OD effort.
• Facilitates innovative thinking across flydubai working closely with IT teams and through research, running workshops, jointly managing the innovation channels, and continually looking for new ways to challenge thinking whilst driving proof of concept initiatives especially driving cross-business collaboration in areas i.e., Generative AI, IoT Internet of Things, Chatbot and RPA (Robotics Process Automation).
• Reviews manpower submissions by business units and their approval in close collaboration with HR to ensure resources are added only after all avenues to automation and process optimisation are exhausted and additions are justified by tracking agreed KPI trends.
• Leads the conceptualisation, development, and commissioning of corporate dashboards i.e., OTP Dashboard, Customer Experience Metrics Dashboard etc. to manage business critical processes especially reporting on cross-business processes which requires collaboration amongst wider group of stakeholders in flydubai.
• Leads the development with finance of company-wide unit cost trends for key activities and core processes and use relevant benchmarks to ascertain if unit costs are best in class.
• Drives the creation of performance dashboards as a means of delivering KPI information and business intelligence to managers, while sharing responsibility for assessment and devising relevant KPI’s when reviewing CAPEX investments proposals.
