Responsibilities
  • Greet with a smile and create a welcoming spirit for our visitors. Making them feel safe inside and outside the museum. Following the Tone of Voice of the museum.
  • Host the Information point, assisting visitors with enquiries relating to: the museum and its facilities/services; events; the local area; transport; museum contents.
  • Sell tickets, products, services and memberships for NHM.
  • Accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails.
  • Handle feedback, ensuring it is recorded/filed according to policy and feedback is responded to with appropriate guidelines and template.
  • Assist with Membership enquiries.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products.
  • Be knowledgeable about NHM policies, exhibitions, upcoming events, DCT sites, the UAE especially the activities on Saadiyat Island.
  • Assist with People of Determination services ensuring all visitors are able to enjoy their experience and are aware of the additional services available to them.
  • Assist with the coordination of group bookings, arrivals and their journey through the museum.
  • Act as a Welcome Host when required.
  • Scan tickets and problem solve any ticketing issue.
  • Be positive, dependable, punctual and always a team player.
  • Always look for opportunities to delight our visitors, find solutions and enhance the visitor experience.
  • Any other duties requested by Visitor Services.
  • Operation lead in line with the objectives of the department.
Required Experience
  • Customer service experience.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
Preferred Experience
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Experience in museums or tourist attractions.
Education/Qualifications
  • High school diploma (degree in tourism, history, art, museum studies, hospitality preferred).
