Job description

Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Video Analytics Expert for their UAE research and development team. The employer seeks a proven performer to assist with their main projects in the region, which include the implementation of advanced integrated security solutions for critical assets, smart city initiatives, and border protection.

Role and Responsibilities

The Video Analytics Expert will lead all analytics activities on site and be part of the maintenance group. Responsibilities include:

1. Managing Video Analytics (VA) application operation, planning, and implementation of design concepts.
2. Maintaining existing analytics detection rules in the system.
3. Configuring VA roles according to security operational requirements of authorities, ensuring appropriate false alarm rates (FAR) and proof of design (POD).
4. Reviewing existing CCTV installations and VA configurations.
5. Establishing procedures with operators and security officers for alerting on FAR or non-detection issues.
6. Reporting on camera alignment and modification activities.
7. Collaborating with the maintenance team on CCTV activities such as cleaning, setup, and vegetation management in the field of view.
8. Implementing new VA versions.

Candidate Attributes and Requirements

1. B.Sc. / B.A. degree in computer sciences or related engineering field (advantageous).
2. Proficient in field engineering processes and escalation procedures.
3. Experience with CCTV and Video Analytics systems (minimum 3 years).
4. Understanding of video surveillance, video analytics, and security principles.
5. Experience with Video Management Systems (advantageous).
6. Completion of a run analytics training course.
7. Proficiency in MS Office.
