Job summary

Aldar Corporate seeks an experienced Tendering Manager in Abu Dhabi to oversee construction tendering from RFP to appointment of consultants and contractors. You will lead contractor prequalification, bid evaluation, and contract document completion, working with Legal and Finance to align project scopes and templates.

The role includes evaluating evaluation criteria, coordinating site visits and pre-bid meetings, and managing commercial negotiations to support procurement strategies and vendor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Cost Estimation required.
• At least 10 years of tendering and procurement experience.
• Minimum 2 years of managerial experience; familiarity with FIDIC and local laws.

Job description

The role manages construction tendering within Aldar Corporate's Tendering Buildings team in Abu Dhabi, from preparation of requests for proposals to appointment of consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities include:

• contractor prequalification
• bid evaluation
• completion of contract documents

The successful applicant will review project scopes and tender templates with internal teams, including Legal and Finance.

Work includes:

• reviewing evaluation criteria
• obtaining expressions of interest
• arranging site visits and pre-bid meetings
• coordinating the opening of technical and commercial proposals

Commercial duties include evaluating bids from technically acceptable bidders, obtaining cost advice on priced proposals and leading commercial negotiations. The role also supports procurement strategies and reviews spending by category and vendor. Applicants need at least 10 years of tendering and general procurement experience, including procurement through ERP modules, and at least two years of managerial experience.

The specified industry background is buildings and infrastructure construction, with specific knowledge of FIDIC contract terms and local laws. The advert requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Cost Estimation and membership of a certified organisation similar to RICS.
