Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent and technically skilled Vehicle Inspector to perform comprehensive inspections on incoming and outgoing vehicles at a major fleet operations facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure all vehicles meet required standards relating to safety, functionality, and overall condition before release or acceptance. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection & Assessment
  • Conduct full physical inspections on vehicles, including interior, exterior, underbody, tyres, engine bay, chassis, and electronic features.
  • Identify, document, and classify vehicle damage, mechanical faults, and missing accessories.
  • Inspect vehicles according to predefined checklists and quality standards.
  • Verify odometer readings, service history, and overall vehicle condition.
  • Capture high-quality photos of vehicles in line with inspection guidelines.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare accurate inspection reports using handheld devices or internal systems.
  • Assign grades or condition ratings based on inspection findings.
  • Ensure all data is entered clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Coordination & Operations Support
  • Liaise with on-site personnel for vehicle scheduling, movement, and availability.
  • Communicate inspection outcomes to supervisors and relevant team members.
  • Assist in vehicle identification, tagging, and tracking across the facility.
  • Support logistics teams during high-volume periods when necessary.
Compliance & Quality Control
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Maintain strict compliance with inspection protocols and confidentiality obligations.
  • Escalate significant defects or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Diploma or technical certification in Automotive Technology or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in vehicle inspection, automotive service, or fleet operations.
  • Previous experience in dealerships, workshops, rental, fleet, or automotive inspection centers preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and common faults.
  • Ability to detect mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues accurately.
  • Proficiency in using tablets, inspection software, or digital reporting tools.
Soft Skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet daily inspection targets.
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual with strong work ethics.
Other Requirements
  • Valid UAE driving license (light vehicle).
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility with working hours based on operational needs.
