Job summary

Atkins Realis Group seeks an experienced PMC field inspector for electrical and mechanical disciplines within Dubai metro station projects. You will support Site Engineers to ensure D&B contractor works meet approved drawings, ITPs, codes and Employer’s Requirements across overground and underground stations.

Responsibilities include daily site surveillance, QA/QC checks, witnessing tests, documentation, and coordination with civil teams for penetrations and clearances.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of E&M site inspection experience in metro projects.
• Experience with QA/QC checklists and design‑build workflows.
• Metro/rail project experience is essential.
• Multi‑disciplinary E&M inspection and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Daily site surveillance and checks on electrical and mechanical works for metro stations.
• Record observations, raise NCRs, verify ITPs and WIRs compliance.
• Witness tests and assist FAT, SAT, IST where required.
• Coordinate with civil teams for access penetrations and clearances.
• Log interface issues in ICD registers and report to Site Engineers.
• Monitor HSSE on site and ensure compliance with NFPA 130 life safety features.

Job description

Role Overview

Act as PMC field inspector covering both electrical and mechanical for metro station services, supporting Site Engineers to ensure D&B contractor’s works meet approved drawings, ITPs, codes and Employer’s Requirements across overground and underground stations.

Responsibilities

• Daily Site Surveillance & Checks
  • Conduct routine inspections on works performed by the contractor for HVAC, ECS, TVS, fire protection, hydrant, sprinkler, detection, water supply & drainage, lifts & escalators, MV/LV distribution, lighting, UPS, earthing, lightning protection and BMS SCADA cabling and terminations.
  • Record observations, raise NCRs where applicable.
  • Verify ITPs, WIRs compliance, material deliveries, storage handling and maintain QA checklists and test records per PMC policy.
• Testing & Commissioning Support
  • Witness local tests, pressure tests, duct leakage and functional tests.
  • Assist with FAT, SAT and IST witnessing and compile evidence for acceptance.
• Interface & Coordination
  • Coordinate with civil works for access penetrations, check clearances and supports.
  • Report interface issues promptly to Site Engineers and log in ICD registers.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Monitor HSSE on site (hot works, elevated work, electrical safety).
  • Ensure adherence to NFPA 130 life safety features, smoke control paths and emergency ventilation readiness.
• Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), photo logs, inspection reports and support measurements.
  • Maintain punch lists and track closure.
• Report to Station Mechanical/Electrical Site Engineers; escalates critical issues to Resident Engineer (MEP).

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in E&M site inspection for metro, preferably in metro stations.
• Experience with QA/QC checklists and design‑build workflows.
• Previous experience working on metro/rail projects is essential.
• Multi‑disciplinary E&M inspection (mechanical + electrical), documentation, basic submittal review, coordination with contractors and PMC engineers.
