Job summary

TalentOne is seeking a UAV Airframe Design Engineer to develop lightweight, strong drone structures. The role covers 3D design, material selection, structural evaluation, and prototype development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years in UAV structural design.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360 or similar.
• Experience in structural design, material selection, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of carbon-fibre composites and lightweight structures.
• FDM 3D printing or rapid prototyping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify UAV frames, airframes, brackets, mounts, and structural components using 3D CAD.
• Develop lightweight but strong, durable drone structures.
• Select materials such as carbon fibre, aerospace alloys, engineering plastics.
• Support structural analysis, vibration assessment, and design validation.
• Prepare prototypes and support testing and design improvements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure production-ready designs.
• Create technical drawings, design documentation, and revision updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and confidentiality requirements.

• Design and modify UAV frames, airframes, brackets, mounts, and structural components using 3D CAD software.
• Develop lightweight designs while maintaining strength, stability, and durability.
• Select suitable materials such as carbon fibre, aerospace alloys, and engineering plastics.
• Support structural analysis, vibration assessment, and design validation.
• Prepare prototypes and support testing and design improvements.
• Work with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are practical and production-ready.
• Prepare technical drawings, design documentation, and revision updates.
• Follow applicable safety, quality, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
