Job summary

Emirates Islamic is seeking an Internal Audit Manager (UAE National Only) to support leaders in providing internal audit services, focusing on Financial Crime Compliance, Retail Banking and Banking Operations. The role involves audits, project work and ad hoc reviews under supervision.

The incumbent will develop an audit service with a focus on strengthening control environment, ensuring timely addressing of findings, and delivering value to the business.

Qualifications

• Recognized professional accounting qualification.
• Banking or financial services audit experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, processes and activities.
• Good understanding of IFRS and Basel regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an audit service focused on control environment improvements that protect and enhance the groups financial position.
• Ensure audit findings are timely addressed
• Conduct audits which are perceived to add value to the business
• Ensure Internal Audit is contemporary and innovative to drive efficiency / quality of service
• Maintain professional working relationship with business stakeholders
• Audit job completion, documentation and reporting in line with Audit Manual / standards
• Ensure observations are supported by facts, drafted per departmental standards and agreed with management.
• Drive / Participate in department strategic initiatives / innovation programs
• Drive / Participate in staff engagement activities
