Job summary

Avanta Works in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Tutor to deliver high‑quality tutoring services to students in accordance with their individual needs. You will assess knowledge levels, provide instruction in subjects such as mathematics or English, and develop lesson plans with materials to support exam preparation.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education and at least two years of tutoring experience.

Responsibilities

As a Tutor at our organization, you will be responsible for delivering high quality tutoring services to students in accordance with their individual needs. Your daily duties will include assessing student levels of knowledge on the subject matter taught by you; providing instruction in specialized subject areas such as mathematics or English; creating lesson plans; developing teaching material; preparing students for examinations; tracking student progress; offering advice on academic matters; maintaining accurate records of students' achievements; meeting with parents/guardians to discuss progress; and attending faculty meetings.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate patience and understanding when dealing with students from various backgrounds. You must also have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while keeping up-to-date records of student progress. A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required for this position along with at least two years of tutoring experience. Experience working with immigrants or ESL/ELL students is highly desirable but not required.
