Job summary

Commercial Bank of Dubai invites applications for an experienced lead role to supervise end-to-end Treasury and Investment Operations in Dubai. You will manage FX, money markets, fixed income, Islamic treasury products, and syndications, ensuring accurate settlement, accounting, and controls within SLA/TAT.

You will drive automation, strengthen governance, and coordinate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance and IT for seamless execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
Professional certification or progress towards ACI, CFA, FRM, ACT, CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of treasury products, Islamic treasury structures, syndications, SWIFT messaging, settlement practices, reconciliations and financial markets operations.
Proficiency in Treasury Management Systems, core banking/loan systems, SWIFT Alliance, MS Excel and reporting tools; exposure to automation, workflow or data analytics tools is an advantage.
8-10 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Investment, Capital Markets, Middle Office or Banking Operations, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
Experience in UAE/GCC banking operations, regulatory compliance, audit management, system change delivery and stakeholder coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

Validate, authorize, settle, account and reconcile transactions within SLA/TAT and market deadlines.
Maintain robust maker-checker controls, segregation of duties, dual authorization, exception tracking and escalation protocols.
Review transaction documentation, confirmations, settlement instructions, loan notices and supporting approvals for completeness and compliance.
Oversee SWIFT message authorization, nostro funding, cash and securities settlement, GL reconciliation and break resolution.
Coordinate with Treasury Front Office, Syndications, Islamic Banking, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Financial Institutions, Relationship Managers, IT and external counterparties for seamless execution and issue resolution.
Support new product implementation, BRD preparation, UAT execution and post-implementation reviews.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve straight-through processing, dashboards/MIS, data quality and exception reporting.
Remediate audit observations, risk events and control gaps with root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
Lead, coach and cross-train team members; maintain backups and support workload planning.
Update SOPs, process maps, KPIs, KRIs and job descriptions in coordination with Head of Treasury & Investment Operations.
Ensure timely confirmation, settlement, payment processing, and reconciliation of treasury deals across local and international markets.
Oversee account reconciliations and ensure breaks are resolved within agreed timelines.
