Context

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Transport Planning Engineer to lead and oversee the transport planning activities for a major Metro rail Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning, development, and implementation of transport strategies that align with the project’s objectives and the region’s mobility goals.

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead the transport planning team in developing comprehensive transport strategies for the Metro Rail Project.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction teams to integrate transport planning with project development.
• Conduct detailed transport demand analysis and forecasting to inform project decisions.
• Develop and implement transport models to simulate and evaluate different scenarios and their impacts.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national transport policies and regulations.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and the public, to gather input and address concerns.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of transport systems and propose improvements as necessary.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in transport planning and incorporate best practices into the project.

Profile/Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
• Should have a minimum of 15 years of experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in transport planning, with a focus on metro or rail projects.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale transport projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in transport modeling software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Familiarity with UAE transport regulations and policies is an advantage.

Preferably with GCC experience
