Foreground is expanding its Learning & Development practice and is seeking experienced Training Consultants to support the design and delivery of capability-building programmes across diverse industries. As a contracted consultant, you will represent Foreground on client engagements, shaping tailored learning experiences that develop leaders, strengthen teams and elevate organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Design & Development
- Design customised training programmes aligned with organisational goals and capability needs.
- Develop content, materials and learning pathways across leadership, managerial and workforce skill areas.
- Incorporate modern learning methodologies, behavioural science and real-world application.
Facilitation & Delivery
- Deliver high-impact workshops, training sessions and learning experiences for various levels of the organisation.
- Facilitate group discussions, exercises and activities that drive engagement and retention.
- Adapt delivery style to different audiences, cultures and learning environments.
Learning Advisory & Consultation
- Partner with clients to assess skill gaps, learning needs and development priorities.
- Provide recommendations on learning strategy, capability development and long-term upskilling approaches.
- Support clients in shaping learning frameworks, leadership pathways and development journeys.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Measure programme effectiveness using feedback, assessments and performance indicators.
- Recommend enhancements to ensure sustainable impact and alignment with client objectives.
- Produce high-quality reports, insights and documentation aligned with Foregrounds standards.
Client Representation
- Represent Foreground professionally, maintaining strong communication and relationship management.
- Provide structured updates, manage expectations and ensure delivery timelines are met.
- Uphold Foregrounds quality standards in all client-facing activities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years in Learning & Development, training, facilitation, instructional design or organisational development.
- Proven experience designing and delivering training programmes for professional audiences.
- Strong understanding of learning principles, behaviour change models and modern training techniques.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, operate independently and deliver within timelines.
Preferred Attributes
- Background in consulting, advisory or capability-building roles.
- Experience facilitating leadership or manager development programmes.
- Familiarity with blended learning models (virtual + in-person).
- Professional certifications in L&D, coaching or training are an advantage.
Engagement Model
- Contract-based (work may be per-project, per-programme or retainer).
- Remote, hybrid or on-site delivery depending on client requirements.
- Foreground provides project briefs, branding guidelines, programme frameworks and ongoing support.
