Job description
Section 1 - Role Purpose:

As a Trainee Accountant at Alkazim Chartered Accountants, you will embark on a practical training journey aligned with ACCA’s Practical Experience Requirements (PER). This role is designed to provide exposure to key accounting, auditing, and financial processes. You’ll gain hands‑on experience that will build core skills and competencies necessary for a career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing IFRS‑compliant financial statements and conducting reconciliations.
  • Participate in audits, perform substantive testing, and document findings.
  • Evaluate internal controls, conduct risk assessments, and suggest improvements.
  • Perform financial analyses, variance analysis, and create trend reports for client insights.
  • Participate in client meetings and foster client relationships.
  • Organise financial records and assist in using accounting software.
  • Support in data analysis and prepare strategic reports.
  • Help with task prioritisation, coordination, and effective time management across projects.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must be actively pursuing ACCA or a similar accounting qualification. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
