Job summary

Gulf Chinese Medical Center in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner to join our clinical team full-time, on-site. You will provide high-quality TCM treatments, perform patient examinations, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to plan care.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Traditional Chinese Medicine and an active DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility. English proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine or related field.
• Active TCM Practitioner certification and DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility.
• Excellent diagnostic capabilities in acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal therapy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients.
• English reading/writing proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments using traditional TCM methods.

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner to join our clinical team in Abu Dhabi. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality treatments and remedies using proven TCM practices. You will perform thorough patient examinations, collaborate closely with our multi-disciplinary healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans, and actively educate patients on lifestyle adjustments to optimize their long-term health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments using traditional TCM methodologies.
• Formulate and execute tailored treatment plans utilizing a range of TCM modalities, including acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal therapy, and therapeutic exercises.
• Collaborate efficiently with physicians and other healthcare professionals within the center to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
• Educate and guide patients on preventative health measures, dietary adjustments, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient medical records in compliance with local healthcare regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Traditional Chinese Medicine or a closely related field.
• Certification & Licensing: Current certification as a TCM Practitioner from an accredited institution. Must hold an active license from the Department of Health (DOH) – Abu Dhabi, or meet the necessary criteria to obtain eligibility immediately.
• Clinical Skills: Excellent diagnostic capabilities with deep knowledge of acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal therapy, and other core TCM techniques.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate patients and build trust.
• Languages: Ability to read and write in both English is highly preferred.
• Experience: Prior work experience in a similar role within a healthcare or clinical setting is a strong plus.
• Eligibility: Must possess the legal right to work in the United Arab Emirates (candidates already holding transferable status or independent residency are preferred).
