Job summary

A healthcare service provider in the UAE is seeking a CSSD Technician responsible for the disinfection, inspection, and sterilisation of medical items. Candidates must have a recognised CSSD qualification and at least 4 years of relevant experience in a CSSD department. The role includes ensuring compliance with quality standards, maintaining accurate records, and participating in quality improvement efforts. Responsibilities

  • Provide effective disinfection, inspection, assembly, sterilisation, storage, and distribution of medical items.
  • Ensure sterilisation activities comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep accurate records and perform relevant document audits as per policy.
  • Provide input into CSSD quality improvement initiatives.

Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications

Verbal and written communication skills in English

Job description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide effective disinfection, inspection, assembly, sterilisation, storage and distribution of medical and surgical items to operating theatres and wards in line with company quality and patient safety standards and regulatory requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To ensure sterilisation and related activities for medical and surgical items are performed as per company standard and in compliance with regulatory requirements

Accurate records are kept and relevant document audits are performed as per policy

To provide input into CSSD quality improvement initiatives

Required Education

A recognised CSSD qualification from an accredited institution

Required Experience

At least 4 years relevant experience in a CSSD department

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a CSSD Technician with the relevant healthcare authority in the UAE
