Job summary

Abu Dhabi Manpower Supply is seeking a Telecom Commissioning Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of telecom systems. You will lead a team of technicians and interface with multiple disciplines to ensure successful integration of activities.

Responsibilities include planning and producing method statements, conducting functional tests, inspecting readiness, and reporting progress while ensuring adherence to HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce plans and method statements with mark-ups for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of Telecom systems
• Supervise line walks, equipment internals inspections and vendor package readiness
• Identify test equipment required and ensure it is in safe condition
• Undertake functional and operational tests for Telecom systems
• Inspect all systems for operational readiness
• Attend and provide input at P&ID, HAZOP and HAZID reviews
• Receive project documentation and understand scope of work
• Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities
• Prepare method statements, procedures and routines where required
• Report on work progress, flag potential problems or delays and recommend solutions
• Plan, monitor and assist in vendor activities
• Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing
• Perform inter-discipline checks
• Comply with HSE standards
