Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting of EV powertrains, battery packs, motor controllers, and high‑voltage systems using OEM‑specific diagnostic software and tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electric vehicles, including battery health assessments, cooling system checks, and software updates.
• Safely handle high‑voltage components and systems in strict compliance with OSHA and manufacturer safety standards, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Interpret technical service bulletins, repair manuals, and schematics to accurately identify and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to report recurring issues, recommend design improvements, and support field testing of new EV models.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in Automotive Technology, Electrical Systems, or a related field; additional EV‑specific certifications (e.g., ASE EV, NEBOSH, or manufacturer-specific) are highly preferred.
