Overview
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for all electro-mechanical assemblies, testing, and maintenance in the Drilling Services Division.
Key Accountabilities
- Job Specific Accountabilities
- Troubleshoots, tests, assembles, disassembles and performs visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Assists in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
- Performs complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
- Identifies and communicates technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques.
- Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
- Breaks down and redresses a variety of oilfield tools and reassembles them in preparation for their next assignment.
- Ensures supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job.
- Uses experience and knowledge of applications to ensure products and services are of highest quality.
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
- Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

- Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.
- Training
- Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
- Tool Box
- Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
- Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
- Time Management
- Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
- Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.
- Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.
- Housekeeping
- Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
- Reports
- Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
- Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
• High School Diploma.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 4 years' maintenance related experience in a mechanical function or other relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive).
• Working knowledge of Forklift, Crane, and Torque Machine Operations.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Fully conversant with company standards and operational procedures.
• Basic knowledge of spoken and written English.
