Job summary

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform major & minor assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, testing & disposition of various types of components & accessories installed on premium seating & cabin interiors.
• Bonding of upholstery on seating components.
• Read technical drawings and data to determine the sequence of operations and ensure that work is performed according to appropriate specifications.
• Completion of work packs and documentation accurately.
• Strong focus on attention to detail in meeting customer cosmetic guidelines.
• Follow quality procedures and standards.
• Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.
• Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
• Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with upholstery and laminates.
• Minimum Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in seating is required.
• Ability to utilize computer systems (MS Office, Etc.) to input & retrieve information
• Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
• The ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
