Job summary

Emirates is seeking a Technical Services Engineer III (Cabin Upgrades and Reconfigurations) to deliver fleet technical management, continuing airworthiness, and technical support for Emirates’ cabin projects in Dubai. You will engage with suppliers, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across cabin upgrades and retrofits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related aircraft engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Continuing Airworthiness Management, Planning or Technical Support.
• Knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and practices.
• Strong IT and data analysis skills.
• Excellent drafting and report writing skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage complex tasks.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide fleet technical management, continuing airworthiness management and technical support for Cabin Upgrades and Reconfigurations.
• Routinely evaluate manufacturers/regulatory documents and update internal engineering records.
• Review in-service data and implement actions to improve fleet reliability and maintainability.
• Act as a technical liaison with manufacturers and internal stakeholders to address faults and issues.
• Support acquisition of new aircraft and end-of-lease activities.
• Provide technical clarifications for cost optimisation, contracts and modifications.
• Deliver technical assistance during disruptions including AOG handling.
• Support major cabin modifications and retrofit projects.
• Analyse technical data to support KPIs and recommend improvements.

Handles mechanical systems including flight controls, landing gear, and air conditioning.

Structures

Supports aircraft structures, including repairs and modifications for metallic and composite parts.

Avionics

Manages avionics systems, including navigation, communications, and advanced IFE systems.

Powerplant

Oversees engines and APUs, focusing on health monitoring and optimization.

Cabin

Maintains passenger cabins, flight decks, and retrofits, ensuring top-notch comfort and functionality.

As a Technical Services Engineer III (Cabin Upgrades and Reconfigurations) you will provide fleet technical management, continuing airworthiness management and technical support functions for Emirates fleet to ensure compliance to regulatory & safety requirements, reliability, passenger comfort and cost effectiveness.

In This Role You Will

• Provide fleet technical management, continuing airworthiness management and technical support functions for Cabin Upgrades and Reconfigurations.
• Routinely evaluate manufacturers/regulatory authorities’ technical documents, taking appropriate actions and update internal engineering documents including Engineering Order and Special Engineering Workcard.
• Review in-service data (e.g Tech log, Pilot Reports, Defects) and implement actions to improve fleet, engine, component and/or system reliability and maintainability, including optimisation of aircraft maintenance programs.
• Act as a technical liaison with Aircraft, Engines and/or Component Manufacturers and internal stakeholders (e.g Flight Operations, Service Delivery) to address fleet significant faults, defects, design issues and quality escapements.
• Provide appropriate technical support and expertise in the acquisition of new aircraft and end of lease activities.
• Provide technical clarifications/justification to internal stakeholders in support of cost optimisation, contract negotiation, repair and modification processes.
• Deliver technical assistance and operational support in disruptions scenarios including the handling of technical/AOG, troubleshooting, aircraft chronic and deferred defects and technical delays.
• Deliver support to project functions related to major modifications, retrofits, cabin reconfigurations and aircraft phaseout requirements.
• Review and analyse technical data in support of department KPIs, highlighting trends and making recommendation reports/proposal for improvement.

Qualification

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in related aircraft engineering experience or Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5+ years.
• 5+ years of experience in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management, Planning or Technical Support Function.
• Knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on respective systems.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and practices.
• Ability to utilise IT tools to analyse and process information.
• Ability to analyse and synthesise technical information for implementation in cost effective ways.
• Excellent drafting/report writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage complex tasks.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
