Summary: The Technical Regulatory Manager is responsible for leading all regulatory affairs activities across the Americas region (US, Canada & South America), as well as being the technical and ingredient expert in the Regulatory team. This role provides technical support to the regulatory team where needed, and ensures full compliance with relevant cosmetic regulations and related product or environmental requirements, guiding product development, marketing and certification processes. The position is the regional expert on all relevant US regulatory frameworks, driving continuous compliance, interpreting regulatory changes, and partnering cross-functionally to enable successful and timely launches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead regulatory compliance for all cosmetic products marketed in Americas, including formula review, packaging, and claims.
  • Lead all technical document collection, with support from regional leads.
  • Formula and raw material reviews for US and support global.
  • Initiate testing required for regional compliance, in collaboration with the rest of the regulatory team.
  • Marketing Claims – manage efficacy testing labs, briefing testing protocols, managing timings and updates with marketing and PD teams.
  • Global INCI list generation and artwork approvals for all US markets.
  • Attend launch meetings, track projects and update the wider teams on progress.
  • Lead EPR reporting for the US.
  • Lead on other product, packaging or FG compliance initiatives & reporting (such as CARB, Canadian Ingredient Tonnage Tracking etc) for the Americas region.
  • Provide regulatory intelligence, monitoring new and emerging US federal and state legislation and assessing business impacts.
  • Support new market or retailer onboarding.
  • Lead post-market surveillance, maintaining safety documentation and escalation procedures in line with cosmetovigilance processes.
  • Collaborate closely with NPD, Product Development and Marketing teams to enable compliant launches.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional GM and commercial teams on launch strategies, product compliance and product registrations.

Qualifications
  • Experience in launching cosmetic products in the US is mandatory.
  • Solid experience, familiarity with regulations, and proven knowledge in the makeup and cosmetics industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cosmetic Regulatory Affairs role.
  • Degree in Cosmetics Science or similar qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe; familiarity with social media/web platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills reflecting the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
