Position Summary
The Technical Inspection Manager is responsible for overseeing all inspection activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and operations comply with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory authorities. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising inspections, managing a team of inspectors, preparing technical reports, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting the commercial team during client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- A. Inspection Management Plan, supervise, and execute inspections for equipment, machinery, lifting appliances, cranes, and related assets. Ensure all inspections comply with international standards (e.g., ISO, LOLER, OSHA, ASME, EN standards). Review and approve inspection reports, checklists, and certificates before submission to clients. Conduct root‑cause analysis for failures, defects, or non‑conformance cases. Maintain documentation and ensure full traceability of inspection activities.
- B. Team Leadership – Manage and mentor a team of inspectors, technicians, and coordinators. Assign workloads and ensure efficient use of resources. Conduct training and competency assessments for inspection staff. Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and technical improvement sessions.
- C. Technical Expertise – Provide expert advice on equipment specifications, repairs, maintenance requirements, and compliance. Support clients in evaluating equipment condition, refurbishment decisions, and lifecycle assessments. Participate in technical audits and tender evaluations. Liaise with third‑party inspection bodies when required.
- D. Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Communicate inspection findings and recommendations clearly to clients. Support commercial and sales teams with technical input during proposals and negotiations. Ensure timely delivery of reports and certificates to achieve client satisfaction.
- E. Compliance & Quality Assurance – Ensure adherence to company QHSE policies and relevant local regulations (e.g., UAE Civil Defense, ADNOC, Aramco, OSHA). Implement continuous improvement programs for inspection workflows. Monitor KPIs such as turnaround time, report accuracy, and inspection efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in inspection, testing, and certification—preferably with cranes, lifting equipment, or industrial machinery.
- Certifications such as LEEA, ASNT (NDT Levels I–III), API, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international inspection standards (ASME, LOLER, EN, ISO).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inspection software.
