01. ABOUT THE COMPANY
Dizzaract is a technology company building and scaling ambitious products across AI, gaming, and digital experiences. Our portfolio includes FAR Labs, GAMED, and Farcana, bringing together engineering, AI, product, and creative teams to build products designed for real-world adoption and scale. We operate with a high level of ownership, speed, and autonomy. We value people who think beyond their immediate scope, challenge assumptions, bring ideas forward, and take responsibility for turning those ideas into working products.
02. ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Tech Lead to own the technical direction of GAMED.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. You’ll prototype new ideas, write and review code, shape architecture, and make key technical decisions while leading and mentoring a small engineering team.
We’ll look for someone who can take an idea from an early prototype to a reliable product that real users depend on — with strong judgment around when to move fast, when to invest in quality, and how to balance technical decisions with product outcomes.
You’ll also act as the technical voice of GAMED across the wider business, working closely with product, leadership, and other stakeholders.
03. WHO YOU ARE
- You’re an experienced engineer who still enjoys building.
- You’re comfortable moving between architecture discussions, hands‑on coding, team leadership, and conversations with senior stakeholders.
- You have strong engineering fundamentals and use AI as an accelerator rather than a substitute for technical judgment.
- You naturally think beyond the task in front of you. You bring ideas, challenge approaches constructively, identify opportunities, and care about the experience of the people actually using what you build.
- Most importantly, you’ve shipped real products before — and understand what happens after a prototype meets real users.
04. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the technical direction and architecture of GAMED.
- Prototype and build new ideas hands‑on, taking concepts through to working implementations.
- Write, review, debug, and reason about production code directly.
- Lead technical design and implementation decisions across the product.
- Write clear technical design documents that communicate implementation approaches to the wider engineering team.
- Manage, mentor, and support a small team of engineers.
- Maintain strong engineering standards while keeping the team focused on shipping.
- Make practical trade‑offs between speed, quality, technical complexity, and scope.
- Proactively identify technical and product opportunities and bring proposals to the team and leadership.
- Represent GAMED’s technical perspective in conversations with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to translate ideas into technically sound solutions.
- Bring product‑minded thinking into engineering decisions, considering the impact on the end‑user experience.
- Help evolve GAMED from rapid experimentation and prototyping toward scalable, reliable production systems.
05. REQUIREMENTS
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1–2 years in a senior or technical leadership capacity, including experience managing or mentoring engineers.
- Proven experience shipping and maintaining live products used by real users, beyond personal, experimental, or academic projects.
- Experience building and shipping products that incorporate AI capabilities in production.
- Strong hands‑on coding ability and the ability to independently write, debug, review, and reason about code.
- Practical working knowledge of Gemini and/or other AI models, either through product development or engineering workflows.
- Strong understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and appropriate application of modern AI models.
- Strong system design and architecture fundamentals.
- Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions and balance speed, quality, and scope.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience writing clear technical design documentation.
- Strong ownership and a proactive approach — you bring ideas and solutions rather than waiting for detailed direction.
- Product-oriented mindset and genuine interest in how users experience what you build.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in the video games industry.
- Experience founding a startup or building your own software product that gained real users.
- Strong product experience or demonstrated ability to think about features from both technical and user perspectives.
06. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This role gives you the opportunity to operate at the intersection of engineering leadership, AI, product, and gaming.
You’ll have significant ownership over how GAMED evolves technically, while working on products where experimentation can move quickly into real-world implementation.
You’ll deepen your experience in:
- Building AI-enabled products for real users.
- Moving rapidly from experimentation to production.
- Designing scalable architecture around evolving product requirements.
- Leading engineers while remaining technically hands‑on.
- Making product and engineering trade-offs in a fast‑moving environment.
- Working directly with senior leadership on technical and product decisions.
- Using emerging AI models and engineering tools as part of modern software development.
07. WHAT WE OFFER
- High ownership over the technical direction of a growing product.
- A genuinely hands‑on leadership role with the ability to shape both the product and engineering team.
- Direct access to senior leadership and fast decision‑making.
- The opportunity to experiment with and implement emerging AI technologies.
- A fast‑moving environment with room to propose, test, and ship your own ideas.
- The opportunity to build products from early‑stage concepts through to real‑world adoption.
- A team that values ownership, practical thinking, speed, and strong engineering judgment.
- Competitive salary with performance‑based incentives.
- 24 days annual leave, plus public holidays.
- Health insurance.
- Modern office in Yas Creative Hub.
If you’re an engineer who wants to lead while staying close to the code — and you enjoy turning ambitious ideas into products people actually use — we’d love to hear from you.
