Job summary

flydubai is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities of C-Rated shops, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient component repair operations in line with regulatory and flydubai requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of aviation maintenance, and the ability to supervise staff rosters, oversee certification processes, and coordinate audits. A background in engineering and an AME license (B1) is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) required.
• Fluent in English.
• Engineering Degree or 9+ years of supervisory experience in Component/Line/Base environment.
• IT literate with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises full certification of maintenance activities per scope of approval.
• Ensures compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Manages workshop staff roster to maintain adequate staffing and controlled overtime.
• Leads workshop recovery team in AOG situations.
• Ensures workshop facilities meet regulatory and Flydubai standards.
• Conducts regular competence assessments for workshop staff.
• Manages quality control process.
• Maintains all workshop procedures, documents and forms.
• Acts as focal point for internal and external audits and ensures audit compliance.
• Identifies shortfalls in tooling, equipment, facility, and data resources.
• Deputizes Manager Workshops for all C-Rated workshops.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To manage the day-to-day activities of all C-Rated shops, to ensure all component repair activities are carried out in a safe, reliable and efficient manner in accordance with relevant regulatory and flydubai requirements in support of the fleet size operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises full certification of maintenance activities in line with scope of approval.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Manages and controls the workshop staff roster by ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times and ascertain that the staff overtime is within acceptable levels.
• Leads the workshop recovery team in AOG situations where workshop support is required.
• Ensures that the working conditions of all workshop facilities meet relevant regulatory and flydubai standards.
• Conducts regular competence assessments for all workshop staff to ensure ongoing skill development and improvement.
• Manages the smooth and efficient functioning of quality control process.
• Ensures that all company procedures, documents & forms pertaining to flydubai Engineering Workshops are maintained and readily available.
• Ensures that the working conditions of all workshop facilities meet relevant regulatory and company standards with the flydubai Workshop Maintenance department.
• Acts as a nominated focal point for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Identifies and addresses shortfalls in terms of tooling, equipment, facility, technical data, and other resources required for efficient workshop operations.
• Deputizes Manager Workshops for all C-Rated workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Fluent in English
• Engineering Degree or demonstrated 9 + Years of supervisory experience within a Component, Line and/or Base environment.
• IT Literate with good MS Word, Excel, and Power point skills..
• Years with qualifications: 5 - 7 years
• Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License B1

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
