Role Summary

The Teacher of Science will plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons aligned with the British curriculum, ensuring all students are supported to achieve their full potential. The role contributes to a culture of excellence, innovation, and personalised learning across the secondary phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the Science curriculum with strong subject knowledge and up-to-date understanding of curriculum requirements
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that motivate students and address diverse learning needs
• Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support different abilities including ESL, late-entry, and gifted learners
• Maintain accurate records of lesson planning, attendance, assessment, and student progress
• Assess, record, and report on student attainment and progress, using data to inform teaching and intervention
• Set, mark, and provide meaningful feedback on student work to support progress
• Integrate media and educational technology effectively into classroom practice
• Promote student wellbeing, positive behaviour, and a safe learning environment
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and development
