Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Parotta Maker / Tawa Master.
  • Strong knowledge of South Indian flatbreads and Tawa-based dishes.
  • Understanding of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Physically fit, able to stand for long hours, and work under heat.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare different varieties of Parotta and Tawa items with consistent quality.
  • Knead, roll, stretch, and cook dough to ensure proper texture.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and follow food safety guidelines.
  • Ensure timely preparation of items during peak hours.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage orders.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and cooking equipment.
  • Follow portion control and restaurant recipes.
  • Assist in training junior kitchen helpers.
  • Ensure minimal wastage of ingredients.
