Job Summary

The Tawa / Parotta Master will be responsible for preparing high-quality Tawa items, Parotta varieties, and other flatbreads as per the restaurant’s standards. The role requires strong expertise in dough handling, consistency in taste and texture, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare different varieties of Parotta (Layered, Malabar, Coin, etc.) and Tawa items with consistent quality.
  • Knead, roll, stretch, and cook dough to ensure softness, layers, and proper texture.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and follow food safety guidelines at all times.
  • Ensure timely preparation of items during peak hours without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage orders and serve fresh, hot items.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, cooking equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow portion control, cooking standards, and restaurant recipes.
  • Assist in training junior kitchen helpers on basic dough preparation.
  • Ensure minimal wastage and effective use of ingredients.
